2.) A new 40mm stator motor called the FM-4008

This motor also has long motor cables. It also features a thicker 4mm shaft compared to the 3mm shaft of the NX-4008. The motor comes with 2 aluminum shaft rings to get the shaft to be 5mm or 6mm in diameter. This beefed up NX-4008 also does not use a prop adapter or integrated prop saver anymore. Instead, this motor uses a threaded steel shaft with an aluminum spinner. This motor has mounting holes that are 25x25mm apart. This pattern is supported by the QAV500 FPV Quadcopter frame. You will not be able to mount this motor onto the Pro Tricopter Delrin Kit.

So why no love for your tricopter kit owners? I need new motors and was willing to buy these..

Sorry — maybe I was not clear in the description. The NX-4008 are perfect for the tricopter. The only motor that does not fit the Tricopter kit are the FM-4008 as they have large distance 25mmx25mm mounting holes, which the tricopter does not support. I just with the new NX-4008 on a new tricopter build recently and they are very nice, smooth, and powerful. A good choice for the tri.

Awesome. Good to know then. So will you be getting anymore NX-4008 motors in stock? Also I need the motor mount upgrade kit for my tricopter. If you could possibly make some more of those too :)

    Tim..

Just purchased the FM4008 motors. How many “poles” do these motors have? I’m not quite what to set my timing to on my ESC’s..

    Thanks
